Hatter: The Big Bad world’s a scary place Its best to play it safe and keep your head on your shoulders Perhaps you’ll understand when you’re older enjoy your tea while there is time Hare: I'd settle down if I were you, Before you run yourself straight into trouble Hatter: Here in our quaint little bubble you’ll find That there’s no need to hide Coz there’s nobody telling you How to behave CHORUS You don’t need to Hit the road to follow your heart, child You’ll only end up back where you began And there’s no sense in cleaning your plate If you’re only gonna mess it up all over again No use wishing to wander Coz wandering will make you wish you were home And Watching the clock don’t make the good times start It’s time you started making your own Alice: I’m not sure of where I am Still curious to see just where I’m going With all these different ways I’m growing Staying the same feels sort of strange Hare: Well, if life’s an open book I’d rather not look past the page I’m on now Hatter: The table of contents is nonsense and I’ve got a sense that I’m better at keeping it simple Than making a change CHORUS BRIDGE Hatter: I remember back when things were different Now I like em just the way they are Because the only sort of tinkering I'm doing Is thinking on the twinkling of a star CHORUS Hatter: No, watching the clock don't make the good times start Its time you started making your own

about

This EP contains Skye's solo versions of her original songs from Old Dominion University's "Alice". The play (written by Lee Smith and suggested by Lewis Carrol's classic Alice stories) centers around a 14 year old girl named Alice who lives in Louisiana, and a topsy turvy adventure she takes through a new kind of Wonderland, where she learns about accepting who she is but, more importantly, enjoying the journey of getting there.
