about

A Holiday Quarantine Anthem for all of us. A reminder that if we are standing, or breathing or wearing pajama pants, there is already plenty to be thankful for. Even if we can't see all of our loved ones the way we'd like to, even if our holidays aren't as shiny and abundant this year...there is a special sweetness to the chilly times and to the assurance of the warmth that will come on the other side of them.

lyrics

We’ve got candlelight and mistletoe
Sweet music in our ears
and It’s only just the few of us
Yea, It’s been a quiet year
When i think back to the springtime
My head begins to spin...
It’s a December to remember where we’ve been

Chorus:
We’ve had a long hard year
But we made it here
We’ve come a long hard way
To where we can sit and breathe and say
We have this night and we have this love
And that is enough

We’ve got good food and company
String lights and kitten friends
We’ve got warm gloves for chilly walks
To the store and home again
Thinking back on a busy, dizzying wintertime
Well, This one is not
(but) It’s a December to be glad for what we’ve got

Repeat Chorus

So, Count up your gratitudes,
press them close to you
It’s been a mess just getting thru, but we’re doin’ it!
So raise a glass and sing along
Cheers to the year it all went wrong
But if Home is where the heart is
This home is stronger

We’ve got tinsel wrapped integrity
And popcorn on a string
We’ve got friends that melt the cold away
So we’ve got everything
